Most sword-fighting games on ROBLOX feature crazy structures, interesting maps, or professional architecture. But the truth is, not all sword-fighting games need all that. Take a look at ClassicFailz, an empty Baseplate with four spawns and regeneration pads, yet a whole sword-fighting community on it everyday! Created by ROBLOX user, MusicaDomina, ClassicFailz is a simple but extremely fun sword-fighting game for everyone!
Gameplay
Gameplay is simple. You have a basic sword in the 1st slot of your inventory. You take it out, and let the fun begin!
But it’s not actually as simple as taking out a sword and swinging it at people. Most people have friends on a server and form a team. Some teams can be up to a whole server! Another thing to be cautious of is that many people have many different styles and techniques that could “rekt” you in a second (haha, see what I did there?) Speaking of techniques and styles, ClassicFailz is a great place for you to practice and master your sword-fighting skills. Within a few weeks or months, you’ll walk out of ClassicFailz as a sword-fighting champ!
Me carrying a basic sword.
Opinion
I feel that this game has a great potential. It’s very fun, and helps me improve my sword-fighting everyday. Sometimes, flame wars or insults are thrown across the server. That’s one thing that bothers me, but hey, it happens. I would suggest trying to ignore it and play for the fun of it!
Rating
Gameplay: 7/10 – It’s very fun and enjoyable, but sometimes the flame wars and insults can get under someone’s skin.
Scripting: 10/10 – There is a script in the game that enables classic movements/animations from the old days of ROBLOX, disabling all the glitchy new sounds and animations, which causes trouble for sword-fighters. It also has a script so that respawning happens a lot faster, and the force fields only last for a couple seconds.
Building: 5/10 – It’s an empty Baseplate. I give it a 5/10 because it also has regeneration pads to heal wounded fighters. The spawn placement is basic, but overall, it’s pretty impressive for an empty Baseplate.
Functionality: 9/10 – All scripts work perfectly, for there are only two, and there are no glitches or bugs.. except maybe one: when your torso is kicked or gets flung and it goes fast, the game crashes, or tells you that it shut down. I’m not sure if this is happening on all games, but boy, it sure is annoying.
(Happy New Year!)
