RoGo Update November 2015

Welcome back to another RoGo Update! It has been a while since I’ve posted one of these. Since the last update, RoGo has turned four years old! We have improved a lot since the early days, back when we were simply an in-game GUI based magazine, to the point in which we are now, an online blog. I’d like to thank everyone who has stuck around us since the beginning. We wouldn’t be doing this if it wasn’t for YOUR awesome support.…

Post-Processing Effects

Shaders has been an update I’ve been looking forward to since I saw the Hack Week project by Jeditkacheff and ThorIsViking. Out of all the projects released during that week, this was the one that I had hopes of actually being shipped to the platform. With ROBLOX’s most recent update, my wishes came true.

As a developer, my one focus when creating games is to make it as aesthetically pleasing as possible. Of course, this is a personal choice. I could easily just slap together a simple UI, mess with the lighting a little, and then call it a day… but where’s the fun in that?…

Interview with BigGranny000

Hello, RoGo readers! Recently, I had the privilege to interview  BigGranny000, a ROBLOX YouTuber with over 26,000 subscribers. He’s a part of the new YouTube collaboration channel Quadlee.

BigGranny000 primarily creates ROBLOX-related videos, but he occasionally branches out into other games, such as Rocket League and Grand Theft Auto V. Check out his YouTube channel by clicking here. Without further ado, let’s get into the questions.

Sir_Jack: When you first started Youtube, did you ever expect to get as big as you have?

Economic Reasoning of Tickets being Discontinued

Posted 6 months ago by Zaqre

Please read into the blog post by ROBLOX here.

Some things that you should know is that every Ticket, or Tix as we call it, competes with the ROBUX portion of the economy. Thus, since games have become more popular, every ticket earned slightly degrades ROBUX.

This is what I mean by degrading the Tix or Ticket:

Every place visit grants 1 Ticket. A million place visits is therefore a million Tickets. For that million tickets to exist (based on a 17.000 TCR*), it takes 59,000 R$ to keep those Tickets worth something.

Eggcellent Adventure 2016

httpAbbey here with ANOTHER special article. Every year, ROBLOX hosts their annual Easter event. In previous years such as 2013 and 2014, the ROBLOX community loved the event, having a unique atmosphere and enjoyable game-play with the chance to win exclusive hats for your avatar. Last year, the developers took over the event, putting an Easter twist on their popular games such as Ripull Minigames and Twisted Murderer. This year, they’re back at it again with the original games, and I’m here to give you an overview on the event and the eggs.
